Dr. Richmond’s love for books has been a constant in her life, a passion that became more apparent a couple of years ago. It was then that her youngest son remarked on the extent of her home library, noting that she was buying books she already owned. Recognizing the need for organization, he volunteered to catalog them. Upon completion, he tallied nearly 600 hardback and paperback books, and the collection may well have grown to 700 by now.

Her Goshen Publishers journey is truly inspiring, reflecting a deep passion for literature and a commitment to providing meaningful Christian books. Her appreciation for diverse genres and the determination to fill a gap in the market with suspenseful, contemporary Christian books is commendable.

The resonance of Toni Morrison's quote, "If there's a book that you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it," is evident in Dr. Richmond’s story. Creating her debut novel and its companion Bible Study workbook, along with founding Goshen Publishers, showcases her dedication to this vision.

Incorporating biblical inspiration from the Land of Goshen, where God assured protection and provision, adds a profound layer to her mission of drawing people closer to Him through suspenseful stories.

Expanding into the role of Editor in Chief and supporting other authors through cohorts, fostering a sense of community and collaboration, demonstrates a holistic approach to the publishing process.

The growth of Goshen over the past six years, with a phenomenal team and an increasing number of authors and published books, is impressive. Dr. Richmond’s enthusiasm for reaching the 100-book milestone and the connection to her home library adds a delightful touch.
